What would you miss most about your home?

I am thinking back and counting about thirty home places each one or most were so prescious to me and it seems every new for me place is more prescious than the last. I have loved my homes in a tender way of something alive  yet I have no feeling of missing any of them. Right now I love how my trailer rocks through the stormy nights how I can feel the weather through it's thin skin. When I am in Utah I love how solid my sleeping cabin feels. A few days ago I bit into an apple a locally grown one and the taste was a taste bursting about in my mouth of a wild New England apple something I haven't tasted since I was a young girl. I think that taste might be how it would feel to miss something about my home.

Love the illustration – what’s the book? I imagine them as a prehistoric Farland and Gnomi … .

I thought they looked familiar. Taste is something I think I miss most about my former homes as so many memories are grounded in meals, or eating, or just the ceremony of preparation.

Oh George that’s funny about the food, in that home for me was never about the food, sharing or not, I sort of disliked that part altogether I liked fires in wood stoves and bed time stories and lying on rugs reading I’ve never felt right home at tables with forks and chairs and eating rules that was the tedious part of home. Washing dishes was more a good memory. And now, mostly a picnic is one good way to spoil a great mountain outing unless the picnic is made of wine or a beer:-)  Will you be at the Christmas Party on Friday I am going to be Dawn’s date!
