Last night the first winter snow fell on the high mountains and in the valleys there was hail and thunder.

oh farland!!! I love love love love this pic!! and I'm glad I didn't ever take the snow tires off my car for this summer. I'm ready for the snow already! except I need a really good sweater. I'm going to be scouring the thrift shops for the perfect winter of 2008-2009 sweater as soon as I'm back on days. :-)
What a great party it was still people pouring in when we left. This sign was over between Twin Lakes and Leadville. Can't wait til you are a daytime person again. Oh and I've fallen in love with Sigur Ros again. Here

don't forget sept 3rd. party at our house. I need help coming up with a super duper veggie yummy soup.
I wish I could be at your party! Here's one of my fave food blogs, sorted for soups. I've made the zucchini soup near the top except with mint and garlic instead of dill. It was really good. Also gazpacho is always such a good summer bet…mmmm, maybe I'll have to make some gazpacho today.
I'm with you on the mint and garlic over dill. It is sort of not Summer here anymore. Two nights of snow in the mountains.
